Kendriya Vidyalaya BSF, Pokaran was established in the year 2003 from classes I to VIII (one section) under the able administration of Sh. Vijay Kumar I/c Principal in a small old building provided by BSF Authorities, which was later shifted to a big spacious building of its own in the year 2011 with sufficient infrastructural facilities.
The school endeavours to create an atmosphere for the all round development of the students, to pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of education along with the spirit of national integration and a sense of “Indianess” among the children.
Every year one class was upgraded since 2006 and the 1st batch of X passed out with 77.78% result in 2006. Then in April 2011 the school got permission to start Science and is thus marching towards excellence.
The School is provided with a number of facilities. It has well equipped labs for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science. There are separate rooms for Music, S.U.P.W and Drawing. It has got a Resource room for primary section. The school has an advantage of a big playground for outdoor activities like games and sports. It has a separate court both for Volleyball and Badminton. Besides it, there are facilities for indoor games also.
The school is competently run by a Principal, highly committed staff of 19 member and the active support of VMC. The present strength of the students is 387 (on 31 Jul.y 2011)
