Q. 1: - What is the age of eligibility for admissions in class I?

Ans: - A child must be 5 years old on 31 March in the academic year in which admission is being sought.

Q.2. What is the age of eligibility for admission from class III onwards in 2009-10?

Ans.: - The age of eligibility is calculated as on 30th September of the academic year (from class III onwards) in which admission is being sought in session 2009-10

Q.3: - What will be eligibility for admission if the age is more than the maximum age prescribed?

Ans.  No child would be eligible for admission if the age is more than the maximum age prescribed.

Q.4: - What is the minimum and maximum age for admission in session 2009-10?

Ans.  The minimum and maximum age form class I to X is mentioned on page 28 admission guidelines (2008-09) for session 2009-10.

Q.5: - What is the pattern of the entrance examination?

Ans.   An admission test is to be conducted of the following subject from class II to X as mentioned?

1.      Primary class (class II to V): - English, Hindi and Mathematics.

2.      Upper primary classes (class VI to VIII) English, Hindi, Mathematics and General Knowledge.

3.      Secondary class (Class IX to X) Hindi English, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science.

Q.6   How much reservation is there for SC and ST during fresh admission?

Ans. 15% of seats for SC and 7.5% for ST is reserved in all fresh admission

 

Q.7. What is last date of admission based on competent authority?

Ans.  The last date of admission based on competent authority is mentioned as under:-      

a.        Up to 31st July   - Principal

b.      Up to 30th September - Chairman, VMC

c.       Up to 30th November – Commissioner KVS

 Q.8: - What are the different priorities in granting admission?

Ans. The following are the different priorities in granting admission.                          

 

A KENDRIYA VIDYALAYAS UNDER CIVIL/DEFENCE SECTOR:

                          I.      Children of transferable Central Government employees including ex-servicemen.

                       II.      Children of non-transferable central Government employees including ex-servicemen.

                     III.      Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector Undertaking/ Institute of Higher Learning of the Government of India.

                    IV.      Children of transferable State Government employees.

                       V.      Children on non-transferable employees of State Government.

                    VI.      Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertakings/Institute of Higher Learning of the State Governments.

                  VII.      Children form any other category.

               VIII.      Applicable for project’s vidyalaya only.

Q.9: - What is the admission schedule for the year 2009-10?

Ans.  The admission schedule for the year 2009-10 is mentioned on page 37 of admission guideline (2008-09).

Q.10: - What is the fee of registration form along with the school prospectus for fresh admission in a particular class in a Kendriya Vidyalaya?

Ans.  The fee of registration form is Rs. 100/- for fresh admission in a Kendriya Vidyalaya.
